Andrew Maneval is the President of Chesham Consulting, LLC, providing insurance, reinsurance, financial, and commercial arbitration, mediation, and consulting services, and serving as an Umpire, Arbitrator, Mediator and Expert Witness in industry disputes.

Mr. Maneval is authorized as a court mediator in New Hampshire, is certified by ARIAS•US and FINRA (Financial Services industry) as Umpire/Arbitrator and is a listed AIRROC Arbitrator. 

He serves as a AAA arbitrator and is a listed International Centre for Dispute Resolution arbitrator.  Mr. Maneval has served for over ten years as a charter member of the Task Force on insurance/reinsurance industry dispute resolution, and helped draft AIRROC’s dispute resolution procedures.  

He has served as Umpire or Arbitrator in over 150 arbitrations and has had considerable experience managing disputes as an insurance and reinsurance company executive and conducting arbitrations as an attorney.

Mr. Maneval has lectured frequently on reinsurance and arbitration topics, and trained industry groups on negotiations and arbitration.  He also served as the founding Board Chairman of the Association of Insurance and Reinsurance Run-Off Companies (AIRROC).  He has also served, in Rhode Island, as the Chairman of the GTE Reinsurance Company Creditors Committee, as Scheme Adjudicator for several UK Schemes of Arrangement and as a member of the Creditors’ Committees for Schemes of Arrangement in England and Bermuda.

Mr. Maneval has been admitted to the practice of law in New York (1981) and Massachusetts (1995).  He has an A.B. degree in economics from Earlham College (1976), a Juris Doctor degree from Fordham Law School (1980), and a certificate, Insurance Executive Development Program, from AICPCU/Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania

Has served as Arbitrator or Umpire in over 150 industry arbitrations and as an expert/expert witness in approximately 15 insurance/reinsurance industry cases.

Responsible for winding up operations of reinsurance companies that were active in the United States, in five countries in Europe, and in Asia.
