David Aaron DeSoto is the senior associate in the Houston, Texas office of Mann Law Firm PLLC.  David’s practice focuses on various aspects of state and federal litigation, representing individuals and institutions in collection matters and bankruptcy cases. David also represents mortgage lenders and other secured creditors in Texas in real estate foreclosures, bankruptcies, evictions, litigation, and all matters relating to the servicing of mortgage loans and the mortgage banking industry.  In addition to the foregoing, David serves as a mediator in civil cases involving an expansive assortment of issues.

David received a B.A. in history from the University of Texas San Antonio and his J.D. from the Texas Tech University School of Law.  David is admitted to practice in the Bankruptcy Courts for the Southern, Western, Northern and Eastern Districts of Texas, the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Tax Court.  He is a member of the Bankruptcy Section of the State Bar, the Moller/Foltz Bankruptcy Inns of Court, and the College of the State Bar.  He has served on several committees throughout Texas relating to bankruptcy issues, including planning committees for the Advanced Consumer Bankruptcy Conferences.  In 2010, David served as the Course Director for the 26th Annual State Bar Advanced Consumer Bankruptcy Course in Dallas, Texas.  David participated as a volunteer with the Veterans History Project in 2012, assisting in the efforts of the State Bar of Texas to obtain oral histories from local veterans to be made available for future generations through the Library of Congress.  In addition to serving as a mediator in disputes between private litigants, he also serves as a volunteer mediator with the Houston Dispute Resolution Center.

David’s practice focuses on various aspects of state and federal litigation, representing individuals and institutions in collection matters and bankruptcy cases.  He has served as an attorney of record in the following reported cases:  In re Herrera, 2010 WL 148182 (Bankr. W.D. Tex. 2010); In re White, 2007 WL 4333279 (Bankr. N.D. Tex. 2007); JP Morgan Chase Bank v. Gregory Polydore, 2007 WL 4146659 (E.D. Tex. 2007); Polydore ex rel. Polydore v. JP Morgan Chase Bank, 2007 WL 1330648 (Tex. App. – Dallas 2007); In re Hughes, 360 B.R. 202 (Bankr. N.D. Tex. 2007); In re Lampman, 276 B.R. 182 (Bankr. W.D. Tex. 2002); and In re Lucio, 251 B.R. 705 (Bankr. W.D. Tex. 2000). 

David Aaron DeSoto is a licensed attorney in the State of Texas but is not certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.
