Hand & Hand Mediation is a Dispute Resolution Company focusing on mediations in civil litigation, personal injury, divorce, child custody and domestic relations.   Mediation is a non-binding process in which a neutral third party attempts to settle a legal dispute through communication, negotiation, and compromise.  Unlike, litigation, mediation is meant to be non-litigious and non-adversarial.  The company employees two mediators, Elizabeth Hand and Ben Hand.

Ben Hand graduated from Cumberland School of Law in 1990 and has practiced law for twenty seven years.  Ben has also been a Municipal Court Judge for over twenty years.  With his stature as a Judge and his experience, he has the skills necessary to handle personal injury and civil litigation mediations.

Elizabeth Hand is a non-attorney mediator.  She worked for Lee County DHR for several years and also the Lee County District Attorneys’ office.  She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Education and a Master’s Degree in Post-Secondary Education: Psychology and is in studying to be a Clinical Mental Health Counselor.   Elizabeth’s years in education coupled with her decade of teaching Psychology and time working for the Courts system and DHR have taught her that Dispute Resolution is best handled out of court in a non-litigious setting.
