Jason A. Breslin is certified by the Supreme Court of Florida as a Circuit Civil Mediator.

Mr. Breslin has been a practicing litigator for 12 years. As a litigator, Mr. Breslin has handled cases that include personal injury, insurance coverage matters, insurer bad faith claims, commercial and real estate disputes, among others. Mr. Breslin’s experience and continued litigation practice provides him a perspective that parties can utilize to achieve better results in mediation.

Mr. Breslin firmly believes in our adversarial system of justice; however he understands that utilizing creativity and compassion assists in alternative dispute resolution.  The goal of alternative dispute resolution is to reduce costly litigation and allow the parties to bring closure to the events that brought them to litigation.  This benefits all parties in any dispute.

Currently, all mediations are being handled via Zoom or telephonically.  Once the COVID-19 restrictions are lifted, Mr. Breslin will hold Mediation conferences at any of the firm’s locations including the Orlando, Tampa, Melbourne, and Tallahassee Offices.  Mr. Breslin will also conduct mediation conferences at such other locations as may be chosen by the parties.

  • Rates: $350/hr (Travel Time is charged at 50%), plus a $100 non-refundable Administrative Fee.
  • Mediations are set for either a half day (3 hour minimum) or full day (6 hour minimum).
  • 24 hour cancellation notice is required.
  • All fees will be split equally amongst the parties unless otherwise noted.

Jason Breslin was born and raised in Miami, Florida. He received his Bachelor in Science, majoring in Finance, from Florida State University. After his receiving this degree, Jason spent six years as an officer in the United States Air Force and rose to the rank of captain. His duties included managing the budget for several multi-billion-dollar acquisition projects. After his time in the Air Force, Jason enrolled in the Florida International University College of Law. While attending the F.I.U. College of Law, Jason served as the President of the Student Bar Association. He served as a law clerk for both the Honorable Jacqueline Hogan-Scola and Honorable John Schlesinger of the Eleventh Judicial Circuit of Florida. Upon receiving his Juris Doctor, Jason began work in the Ninth Judicial Circuit Public Defender’s Office. As an assistant public defender, Jason was counsel in over 50 criminal jury and non-jury trials.

Jason has extensive experience in Personal Injury Litigation, Insurance Defense Litigation, and Commercial Litigation. Jason is also a Florida Supreme Court Certified Circuit Civil Mediator.

Jason is married to his wife Melissa and has two sons, Noah and Asher.
