“Disputants only support resolutions which, together, they help create”. This is my basic assumption that I use to guide my approach as mediator. Although I remain a neutral person, my goal is to help the parties go beneath the line of positions to interests. In determining and discussing interests, the parties have a much better opportunity to reach whatever a resolution means to them. My actions of facilitating these communications are key as I consider my effectiveness in the mediation process.
Mr. Burrow has focused, over the last eight plus years, on arbitration and mediation primarily in the areas of real estate, contracts, business, landlord/tenant, and construction matters. The nearly twenty years of full time practice in real estate coupled with an education and background in accounting have been invaluable in helping to generate ideas which parties to a dispute may more effectively communicate their interests to each other.
