A third party will step in as the mediation attorney and will work with both parties who are disputing. This individual will examine and evaluate all aspects of the dispute, discuss the aspects with both parties, and then propose options that are available to settle the dispute.
The mediation attorney in no way forces either party to settle; he/she merely shows the parties what options are available.
