WHY USE ME?
Carolyn P Fitzpatrick has been mediating family law concerns for more than 20 years with a success rate of more than 85%. She is very knowledgeable in family law (i.e. equitable distribution of assets, child custody, spousal support, child support, elder law and other areas affecting families). Many of her clients choose to meet face-to-face but many from all over the United States have reached successful agreements using virtual technology.
Carolyn strongly believes in the parties having an available process that affords a safe space to voice their concerns with as little stress and anxiety as possible. But this process must also capture their points of agreement in a legal framework.
She became the Founder and Director of Peaceful Alternatives Community Mediation Services in Amherst, Virginia in 1996 and personally mediates more than 200 cases a year. She also serves as a Virginia Certified Trainer for required core courses with the Alternative Dispute Resolution Department of Virginia.
Areas of her Mediation Practice are:
• Separation Agreement (Memorandum of Understanding with Terms and Conditions)
• Pre-nuptial or Post-nuptial Agreement (Memorandum of Understanding with Terms and Conditions)
• Child Custody (Time Sharing/Parenting Plan)
• Child Support
• Dependent Care
• Elder Care
