Charles (Chuck) Hill is a retired administrator from the University of California, Berkeley where he was heavily involved in the initiation, design, delivery, and business development of distance education programming. The last three years prior to his retirement he was asked to transfer to UC Irvine to help establish that campus’s presence in online course delivery. As distance education and the Internet converged to make online the dominant delivery method, Chuck noticed significant concerns on the part of both the faculty and administration seeking to protect their respective intellectual property rights. That led to Chuck’s interest in mediating copyright and intellectual property disputes.
Prior to joining academia, Chuck served as V.P. Human Resources and Director of Labor Relations for several health care organizations. In that role, he gained firsthand experience working with the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service.
Chuck is a non-attorney mediator. He earned a Bachelor degree in Sociology from Dillard University, a Master in Industrial Relations from the University of Minnesota, and a Certificate in Health Systems Management from Harvard.
At Charles A. Hill Mediation, services are based on the belief that clients' needs are of the utmost importance. I have been committed to meeting those needs since 2002 and as a result, a high percentage of my business comes from personal referrals. In addition to resolving higher education and copyright disputes, Chuck is experienced in civil, family, landlord/tenant, and workplace matters.
I welcome the opportunity to earn your trust and deliver the best in mediation services. Charles A.
