Working with Christy Foley gives you a clear advantage: you get an extremely conscientious, ethical, and experienced mediator whose primary goal is to help disputants. She diligently listens to everyone and works hard to help parties communicate effectively with each other. She is also innovative: she started conducting mediations through virtual conferencing (called e-mediations) in 2018 to make mediation appearances easier on all lawyers and parties involved. Christy is experienced in handling a wide range of small business, breach of contract, employment, discrimination, debt collection, HOA, foreclosure, intellectual property (including copyright, trademark, and trade secret), libel/defamation, internet, sports, and entertainment law issues. During a mediation, Christy tailors her style to the parties involved. She is trained in facilitative and transformative mediation approaches and uses each, as necessary, to help disputants.
Christy serves as Chair of Florida’s Mediator Ethics Advisory Committee ("MEAC") and Secretary of the Florida Bar's Alternative Dispute Resolution Section. She also regularly volunteers as a mediator at the Orange County, Florida courthouse. Plus, she has given presentations on mediation ethics and techniques throughout Florida, including multiple presentations at Florida’s Annual Dispute Resolution Conference (“DRC”), and has hosted multiple nationwide webinars on e-mediation. In total, Ms. Foley has presented more than 20 seminars on mediation ethics and e-mediation since 2017
