Connie Muller-Thym

Connie Muller-Thym spent twenty years working as a psychotherapist in Palm Beach County, Florida, where she founded Family Counseling Associates, Inc.,  a private practice still in operation today.  Connie then returned to the State of Maryland in November of 2004 where she began working as a Family Relations Counselor with the Cecil County Circuit Court.  In 2005, Ms. Muller-Thym founded Resolution Services, Inc.  

Resolution Services is contracted by the Cecil County Circuit Court to provide all of the family support work for the court.  This includes:

Connie is a licensed psychotherapist, court approved family mediator, court approved parenting coordinator, Life/Business Coach and marriage educator and counselor.

Her experiences have varied over the years allowing her to understand many areas of focus, having worked with children, adults and couples.  She’s trained to be a Life/corporate coach and is extensively trained in alternative dispute resolution.  She works part time as a court approved mediator helping separating couples with their custody needs. 

Her practice is unique in that she is in her own building on a secluded street behind main street in North East.  Her setting is very private and comfortable

Connie is identified as an Expert Witness in the matter of family custody cases in the Cecil County Circuit Court.

As mediators, we help people find cooperative solutions.  We help participants resolve misunderstandings and communicate more clearly with each other by reducing angry, competitive and negative emotions.

Divorce & child custody mediation

Divorce & Child Custody Mediation is a positive opportunity for families to develop a parenting plan and resolve issues of divorce in a collaborative, supportive and knowledgeable environment.          

Employee Dispute Mediation

Sometimes simply letting employees’ air out their differences or issues with a neutral third party can make a significant positive impact in the workplace.  Our mediators can come to your place of business to assist with any of your employee mediation needs.

Parenting Coordination

Parenting Coordination can take place via agreement of both parties or under court order.  Parenting Coordination is an opportunity for parents to work together in the creation of a parenting plan that is unique to their own schedules and the unique needs of their children.   Parents are encouraged to communicate with each other and to respect the needs of their children. Parenting Coordination reduces conflict and can be a valuable tool to ensure the welfare of the children involved.  Parenting Coordination services are billed $125 per hour, 2 hour minimum 1st meeting. Our parenting coordinators are certified/licensed therapists with BOST (basic mediation training) and the 20 additional child access mediation trainings.

Marriage / Relationship Counseling and Education

Couples are given marital education and resources, and skill building projects such as role-playing and goal setting.  We provide private marital education to couples who need a little help getting their marriage to a healthy and successful state.  Our approach is more of a coaching style with most couples reporting significant progress in just 3 to 4 sessions.  Our weekend and evening hours provide ample flexibility to schedule sessions.

Connie Muller-Thym has trained for in life and business coaching.  She was the co-founder of Coaching for Your Success in Palm Beach, Florida. Connie has presented numerous workshops, and seminars, specializing in personal growth, leadership, customer service and marriage education and training.  Working with a life coach is an opportunity for you to finally reach those goals. A life coach helps you to set small achievable goals and move toward personal fulfillment & happiness in your life.

Counseling

Our agency provides private psychotherapy and family counseling. We are a brief solution focused practice. We work with the Employer Assistance Program for many of corporations and businesses in the Cecil County area including Cecil County Government, and the local school board.
