Our Eldercare Mediators are skilled in working with families in conflict. They are aware that aging creates challenges, sometimes frustrating and upsetting in which family members could benefit from some assistance.

Families are complex entities, and it is not unusual for submerged anger or conflict to boil up in times of stress. Siblings can often find it difficult to work together to help their aging parents, if there is unresolved conflict between them. It can feel impossible to think about being together to make decisions regarding the well being of their parents, if and when necessary.

Even when there is tension between parties, they are assisted by our mediators to negotiate the issues around elder care and aging in a safe and supportive environment. All family members and participants in Eldercare Mediation are treated the same.

The conversations around issues of caregiving, inheritance, health and financial issues can be difficult. In most cases, they require that all family members feel their views are shared and respected, especially on the subject of fairness and equity. At the same time, Eldercare Mediation addresses the elder's desire and ability to retain as much of their individual control in decision making.

Offices in Miami, Hollywood and Boca Raton, FL.

We also will travel anywhere in Florida to your location for a mediation.
