Eddie was born and raised in Washington, North Carolina. He graduated from North Carolina State University in 1976 and Campbell University School of Law in 1982. He and his wife, Libby, then moved to Sanford where Eddie opened a private practice. In 1984, he became an Assistant District Attorney in the Eleventh Prosecutorial District, prosecuting criminal cases in Lee, Harnett and Johnston Counties until 1988, when he joined the firm.
His practice areas are commercial and residential real estate, business organizations, traffic and criminal law, and wills, trusts and estate administration. He is a former member and Chairman of the Lee County Board of Education, has served as a member of the Lee County Group Homes Board of Directors for over 15 years, and serves as the Attorney Advocate for the Guardian ad Litem in Lee and Harnett Counties.
