WHAT IS MEDIATION
The Merriam Webster Dictionary defines Mediation as:
The intervention between conflicting parties to promote reconciliation,
settlement, or compromise.
Specifically, it means of resolving disputes outside of the judicial system by voluntary participation in negotiations structured by agreement of the parties and usually conducted under the guidance and supervision of a trained intermediary,
a mediator.
More and more couples facing divorce, are using a mediator to help them reach a compromise—rather than hiring two lawyers who fight it out for their clients.
At Equal Ground Mediation, our aim is to resolve conflicts between parties, when they cannot reach a resolution themselves.
There is no issue we have not already dealt with, heard or helped people find equal ground and reach a resolution to their conflict.
It is our job as mediators to help our clients reach a settlement, and walk away with one less thing to worry about.
Mediation is a way to settle your disputes out of court. This saves the parties time, money and with the courts large back logs, a painfully long waiting period.
