Jim's experience as an attorney has spanned over 40 years. During that time he served as General Counsel and Vice President of Collins Development Corporation, a real estate development company located in Fairfield County, Connecticut, and then as a partner in private law firms until his retirement in 2015 from Foley & Lardner, LLP, a national full-service law firm.
Currently, he serves on the Board of Directors of Stella-Jones Inc., a Canadian public company with headquarters in Montreal, and with substantial operations in the United States. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of Willoughby Golf Club, Inc., an HOA located in Stuart, Florida, where he resides. In the past, he has served on the Boards of several HOA's. of law, including real estate, finance,, construction, and mergers and acquisitions.
During his years of practice, Jim worked on transactions in multiple areas. A skillful negotiator, Jim established a reputation as an effective advocate who could bring parties together to resolve any issues arising before the closing of the hundreds of transactions he was involved with.
