I have over 20 years of experience successfully resolving contentious disputes across the country.  I have experienced mediation from every perspective and have been involved in mediations in dozens of states.  I have been the lawyer representing clients during mediations.  I have also been the plaintiff in numerous mediations.  And I have served as the defendant in well over 100 mediations.  I have also been the mediator and helped resolve a wide variety of difficult disputes.

APPROACH TO MEDIATIONS

No two disputes are the same.  No two mediations should be the same.  Every mediation should be unique.  I eschew the cookie-cutter approach and avoids forcing mediation participants to mediate a specific way.

Having participated as counsel, as a plaintiff, and as a defendant in hundreds of mediations across the country and in England, I understand the need to modify each mediation to the unique circumstances of the dispute and the individual participants.  I work with the parties before and during the mediations to customize each mediation to maximize the likelihood of a successful outcome. 

I also understand that not every dispute is “just about the money.” I have personally experienced the emotions involved in being both a plaintiff and a defendant in numerous disputes.  So, I understand the importance of addressing the emotional aspects of disputes to enhance the chance a successful outcome.
