I have a law degree from SUNY Buffalo Law School. I am admitted in New York, and U.S. Federal District Court (Southern & Eastern Districts), U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and the United States Supreme Court. I was an associate in the corporate departments of Hawkins, Delafield & Wood and Kelley, Drye & Warren. I was also of counsel or trial counsel to several litigation firms, and was the Managing Attorney of a law firm defending mortgage foreclosure cases. I have extensive experience in complex litigation matters in Federal and State Court. Former Deputy Village Attorney, Grandview-on-Hudson, New York; Administrative Law Judge and Special Counsel to NYC Department of Transportation.
I am on the panel of mediators of U.S. Federal Court, Eastern District. I have been appointed a Special Master by the Court to supervise discovery and depositions in heavily contested cases. I have been a mentor at the New York County Lawyers Association (NYCLA), and was formerly a member of its Professional Ethics Committee.
I have been appointed as an arbitrator at the American Arbitration Association, NASD/FNRA, New York Stock Exchange and Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board. I have represented investors and brokers in arbitration proceedings, and consult with attorneys concerning the viability of securities fraud cases. I have contributed to the legal publication Securities Arbitration: Practice and Forms (Matthew Bender & Co., Inc., 1993).
I have represented nationally recognized corporations, closely held corporations, partnerships, and other business entities. I also handle real estate transactions on behalf of lenders, sellers and purchasers. I have purchased and sold businesses for clients.
