Jeremy Vermilyea is an experienced mediator and arbitrator of commercial and construction disputes. He serves on the construction and commercial panels of the American Arbitration Association and arbitrates securities disputes via the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) arbitration panel. He is the co-author of “ADR in Construction Disputes”, a chapter in the Oregon State Bar’s ADR in Oregon Deskbook, 2019 ed.
Jeremy has 25 years’ experience as a litigator and as outside general counsel to contractors, design professionals and owners throughout the Pacific Northwest and Alaska, advising on a broad array of matters that confront all businesses. He has been rated by Super Lawyers® in 2011, 2018-2021 and in Best Lawyers in America® every year since 2013 in surveys by his peers. Jeremy was raised in Alaska and attended the University of Alaska Fairbanks, where he received his Bachelor's degree in 1992. He later attended Vermont Law School where he received his J.D., cum laude, in 1996.
