What Is Mediation?
Divorce mediation is not counseling or therapy. It is a process whereby an impartial third party helps a divorcing couple reach an agreement. Divorce mediation can be time-consuming and hard work. However, it is often less costly than a trial and helps to preserve relationships between former spouses — which can be extremely beneficial if children are involved and a post-divorce relationship is necessary.
