John E. Lippl is both a licensed attorney and a registered professional engineer. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the Penn State University College of Engineering and a Juris Doctor from the University of Tennessee College of Law.

John has worked as a project manager for major general contractors, as an attorney with several law firms and as general counsel for a contractor, before beginning his current practice focusing on the legal aspects of the construction process.

He is a trained and experienced arbitrator and mediator and frequently lectures at both legal and construction related conferences.

In his spare time, he served as an officer with the United States Navy Civil Engineer Corps. His work as a civil engineer with the Navy took him to multiple countries, several continents and two tours of duty in Iraq – as a structural engineer on an anti-terror team and as executive officer of a Naval Mobile Construction Battalion.
