Kim Stephens is a Georgian, born and raised. He graduated from the University of Georgia with a B.S.Ed. in Mathematics and a Master’s Degree in Sport Management. While attending UGA, Kim started 46 games (a Bulldog record at the time) and lettered for four years on the Bulldogs’ football team receiving numerous academic and athletic honors including: team captain; NCAA Post Graduate Scholarship; Region III GTE Academic All American; Toyota Leadership Award; Football News All American; Academic All Southeastern Conference; and All Southeastern Conference.
Kim completed his law degree at the Georgia State University College of Law and was admitted to the Georgia Bar in 1993. He worked with the largest law firm in Northeast Georgia as a litigator handling personal injury cases, civil matters, UGA Student cases, NCAA investigations, and criminal cases in Athens, around the State of Georgia, and in the Southeastern United States. He opened his own law office in 1998 and honed his craft as a trial lawyer becoming by reputation and performance one of the top criminal and civil trial attorneys in Athens and Northeast Georgia.
Kim has more than 19 years of experience and knowledge in the areas of criminal law, personal injury, business and contract litigation, and probate law in the Athens and around the State of Georgia. He practices in all courts including federal courts, superior and state courts, local municipal courts, probate courts, recorders courts, UGA student hearings, administrative hearings, and appellate courts. Kim gets the best possible outcome for each of his clients by working intelligently and doggedly throughout his clients’ cases aggressively negotiating and, when necessary, aggressively litigating until optimum results are reached.
