Kristin Gooray Hagood is a Maryland attorney practicing all aspects of family law. She represents clients in matters involving divorce, separation, child custody and support, alimony and property division, and has practiced family law for over 10 years.
Kristin is a trained Collaborative Law attorney, mediator, and Best Interest Attorney (formerly guardian ad litem). She represents clients through traditional settlement negotiations, the Collaborative process, as well as litigation. As mediator, she helps divorcing clients resolve property and financial matters and child access issues.
Prior to founding KGH Family Law, Kristin spent a few years with a law firm representing condominium and homeowners associations and gaining invaluable experience in the courts of Montgomery, Prince George's, and Howard counties.
A DC-area native, Kristin attended both undergraduate and law schools in Washington, DC. She received her J.D. from The Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law. As a law student, she served as a student attorney in the Families and the Law Clinic, handling a variety of family and domestic violence matters.
Kristin received her Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Human Rights, Conflict and Justice from the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London. Kristin has volunteered with several human rights organizations, working to promote and defend rights and educating governments on the need for rights-based systems. She holds a B.A. in Psychology from The George Washington University.
