Maurice is considered one of the leading Alternative Dispute Resolutionists in the Hotel industry. He has been trained as a Mediator by the Institute of Conflict Management as well as L.A. County, and has substantial experience in numerous forms of Alternative Dispute Resolution, including being chairperson of several Arbitration panels and Issue Review Boards.

 

His mediation experience has ranged from single asset disputes to class action disputes between Marriott Hotel Corp. and a class of 1,500 limited partners, involving a nationwide portfolio of 120 hotels worth over $1 billion. He has mediated disputes between Hilton Hotels Corp and one of their franchisees; the National Park Service and one of their private concessioners at Yellowstone National Park; a seafood restaurant owner and one of his suppliers; and a Beverly Hills home owner and his general contractor.

Mr. Robinson is an expert in the field of hotel and resort consulting. He has been facilitating the development and redevelopment of high-end, full-service hotels and resorts for over thirty years. Additionally, he has been providing litigation support services, strategic advisory services, hotel repositioning, market feasibility studies, and appraising hotels and other hospitality-related real estate.
