Reginald D. Hicks is an experienced attorney and counselor of law who returned to the South Florida area in 2007 after owning and managing a thriving law practice in the Central Florida area. Attorney Hicks has been successfully practicing law and advocating for both individual and corporate clients since 1987 throughout the State of Florida primarily litigating civil cases before juries and judges for more than 20 years. He is also trained in both civil mediation and arbitration.
He is a native Floridian who grew up in Broward County before going off to attend college. Attorney Hicks earned both his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with an emphasis in marketing and Juris Doctorate degrees from the University of Florida before becoming a commissioned officer in the United States Navy serving his country honorably until 2002.
Attorney Hicks is a member in good standing with the Florida Bar and is admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, United States Middle District of Florida, and the United States Southern District of Florida. Attorney Hicks has further been very active in various professional organizations. He is a past Chair and current Emeritus member of the Florida Board of Bar Examiners, and has also served as President of both the Paul C. Perkins Bar Association and the F. Malcolm Cunningham Bar Association as well as being an active member of the National Bar Association and the Virgil Hawkins Affiliate Chapter.
Attorney Hicks is a life member of the NAACP and AMVETS, and has served as General Counsel to several churches and community organizations. He is a graduate of Leadership Florida, Leadership Orlando, and a member of Florida Blue Key.
