Born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, Mr. Chesler is a graduate of The Ohio State University and the University of Akron School of Law. Prior to attending law school Mr. Chesler gained real life experience working for an insurance company, as a reporter, in a warehouse and as a truck driver. Following his admission to practice law, Mr. Chesler worked for the Ohio Attorney General enforcing the State’s wage and hour laws and representing the State, as an employer, under Ohio’s then new public sector collective bargaining law.
Mr. Chesler left the public sector and entered the private practice of law. He has been a solo attorney, worked for a firm and as a partner in a small practice. Although engaged in a wide variety of legal disputes, including workers’ compensation and personal injury claims, Mr. Chesler’s practice has focused primarily on employment and labor disputes. He has appeared before state and federal trial and appellate courts as well as a host of state and federal administrative agencies.
Mr. Chesler is admitted to practice law in Ohio and Kentucky, the Second and Sixth U.S. Circuit Courts of Appeals and the Federal Circuit Court of Appeals.
