The law firm of Morrow, Romine & Pearson, P.C., celebrating its twentieth year of existence, was founded in 1987 by Roger S. Morrow and Wesley Romine. Roger Morrow and Wes Romine had formerly practiced law in two prior law firms. Morrow, Romine & Pearson was formed immediately upon dissolution of Whitesell, Morrow & Romine, P.C., its predecessor law firm. Roger Morrow and Wesley Romine have practiced law in the same firm for more than twenty-five years. Joel H. Pearson became a shareholder of Morrow, Romine &Pearson, P.C. in 1989 and has practiced law with Roger Morrow and Wesley Romine for more than twenty years.
Morrow, Romine &Pearson's practice area of concentration is civil litigation representing litigants in trials, mediations and appeals in all state and federal courts and in administrative hearings and arbitrations. Morrow, Romine & Pearson has represented clients in almost every judicial circuit in the State of Alabama and in all three United States District Courts located in Alabama. MR&P's primary geographical area of practice is in the Central, Southern and Southeast counties of Alabama. MR&P's attorneys have represented clients in appeals and petitions filed in the SupremeCourt of the United States, the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit,the Alabama Supreme Court, the Alabama Court of Civil Appeals, and the Alabama Court of Criminal Appeals.
In its first twelve years of existence, MR&P's clientele was a fifty percent mixrepresenting plaintiffs and defendants. During the past ten years MR&P's practice has transitioned into an insurance and defense practice whose clientele primarily consists of insurance companies, individual defendants, businesses, state agencies and a large municipality. Members of MR&P are trained mediators and arbitrators. As well, members of MR&P serve on a regular basis as mediators, arbitrators and special masters, and one is a State hearing officer.
Over the years Morrow, Romine & Pearson has defended insurance companies,state agencies, municipalities, businesses and individuals in products liability cases,consumer litigation, defamation cases, automotive cases, truck underride litigation, all forms of bodily injury and personal injury cases, handicap and employment discrimination cases, Section 1983 cases and first amendment cases in state and federal courts.
Morrow, Romine &Pearson represents litigants in appellate work, administrative law proceedings, mediations and arbitrations. Over the years the law firm has represented numerous defendants in cases involving very serious injury and death. MR&P has also developed a practice area of concentration in defending automobile dealerships throughout the State of Alabama and has extensive experience in enforcing arbitration provisions. The firm of MR&P has also developed a practice area of concentration in insurance coverage issues and in defending fraud and bad faith lawsuits filed against insurance companies.
